About the Program
To improve the funding system for scientific professionals and give full play to the Science Foundation in introducing and training professionals in attracting overseas outstanding young academics to work in China, the National Natural Science Fund (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) has established NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas) since 2021.
The program aims to attract and encourage outstanding young scientists from overseas (including non-Chinese citizens) who have obtained good achievements in natural science, engineering and technology to work in China and carry out innovative research. It is expected to promote the growth of young scientific and technological professionals, develop a number of outstanding academic backbones who could reach the frontier of science and technology in the world.
